“When I first met Sam at the shelter. he had no interest in sitting on my lap. All he wanted to do is play, he would bring a ball and drop it in my hand to toss. We would do this over and over during play and this continued until he was about 8 years old. His favorite thing to do, besides playing fetch, was to sit in front of the patio door and sun himself while watching the birds and squirrels. His departure came far too soon and I will miss him greatly.”
