“14 years, 8 months, 2 weeks and 4 days -where do we start??? She was easygoing. Never met a stranger. A follower – NOT a leader. A stealth and patient hunter. She loved to dig for moles, hunt lizards, look for snakes and chase squirrels. You could find her soaking up the sun in the dining room or on the back deck. “Saddling up” and riding shotgun was always great fun. She could hear the mail truck from what seemed a mile away. She could catch a ball in mid-air. Her record was 15 in a row! She HATED the clothes dryer. She would attack and bark at the dryer door. It was great fun to slam the dryer door shut and watch her go crazy. She liked to chase treats that we rolled across the hardwood floor. She cuddled only on her terms. But loved to wiggle and scratch her back on the carpet. She could tell time – she always knew when it was mealtime. She had three hearts – her own and she stole ours.”
